Get to Know Suzanne

My journey with Āyurveda began in 1999, when I traveled to India for a Yoga Teacher Training. That same year, I became pregnant with my daughter. The experience of pregnancy and early motherhood deepened my connection to both yoga and āyurveda as I began integrating their principles into daily life in an authentic and practical way.

In 2005, I began my formal studies in āyurveda. I was committed to finding a path of study that honored the roots of the tradition and the science of āyurveda. That commitment came with challenges, but it also led to deep growth, meaningful mentorship, and a lasting sense of purpose.

Today, my work is a reflection of that devotion. I practice and share āyurveda in the way it was intended—as a holistic system of both prevention and healing, rooted in nature, rhythm, and wholeness.

Professional Training & Early Practice

In 2007, I graduated from the California College of Āyurveda as a certified Clinical Āyurvedic Specialist (C.A.S). I soon began working as a postpartum doula, integrating traditional āyurvedic wisdom with the everyday needs of modern families. Supporting women through this tender and transformative time was a natural extension of my own healing journey and it continues to reflect the heart of why I was drawn to āyurveda in the first place.

Specializing in Women’s Health

& Perinatal Care

Over the years, I have deepened my expertise in women’s health through extensive study with respected teachers and programs, including:

  • Ysha Oaks, Sacred Window School of Maternity and Newborn Health
  • Dr. MaryJo Cravatta of Shaktiveda Āyurveda
  • RPYT (Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher) with Yoga Alliance
  • Ayurved Sadhana (Doula Program)
  • Dr. Amruta Athale (BAMS) – Āyurvedic Gynecology

Classical Study &

Advanced Training

After more than a decade of working with families, I felt called to return to the classical roots of āyurveda. In 2021, I completed the Svastha Āchārya (Āyurveda Health Coach) program through Āyu Academy, followed by the Advanced Āyurveda Practitioner Training in 2024 with Dr. Anusha Sehgal of Boston Āyurveda Inc.

My Passion

I continue to expand my understanding through dedicated study of the classical text Aṣṭāṅga Hṛdayam with Dr. Nambi Namboodiri. My practice is rooted in this classical approach—honoring the wisdom of tradition while adapting to the unique needs of each individual I work with.
